  1. For how tired with winter I know you are, this post sure perks me up, Susan! Your images speak more than a thousand words. And I do know that before much longer, you'll be singing the praises of spring, with summer probably not far behind. Thanks for hanging in there!

  2. I think at the end of winter spring always feels too far away no matter where you live. Maybe a trip home is in order. I'll post a photo for you today.
May the warmth of your heart shine forth to put a rosy glow upon those around you.
    Peace

  3. Beautiful photos, Susan, and so diverse. I can understand that you are tired of winter - I ALWAYS felt like that halfway through something called spring back in Germany. And I find myself even complaining and whiny here, where the winter is nothing similar to yours! I hope for sun, warmth and lots of color for you!

  5. Thank you all ... I especially love looking at that second photo, that's about as much blooming and color as we have, I think it's lovely and I hope it makes it thru the coming week when we will be having temps in the 40's!!! I'll try not to weep over this Easter weekend, all the best to you ladies!

  6. Oh, I so, so get being weary of winter this year. We have a few spring flowers here in coastal Maine, but the trees are only just beginning to bud, and last night it was in the twenties! Today we're supposed to get temperatures in the mid-fifties, but I'll believe it when I see it. When spring really does hit here, I'm going to be one happy camper! I'm going out for a long walk this afternoon to see some nesting ospreys near here. Hoping for a few signs of green while I'm out.

I LOVE your photos in the post--so full of cheer. Sending some much-needed warmth your way! xo Gigi

  8. Lovely photos. I like the yarn tree...did you knit this? I love guerilla knitters! It is chilly here this morning but, the sun is warming things a bit. If I was able to get out I would go down to the beaver pond and look at that busy beaver activity and the joy those beavers swim with!

  11. Thanks for your sweet words, Elk ... today is Saturday and it's so cold that we had to cut our usual walk short, it feels like the middle of Feburary! Hope your Easter weekend is warm and wonderful.

  12. Oh Susan, I'm with you on this...we're longing for some warmth here on Vancouver Island. Spring is slowly inching it's way in this year and I'm consoling myself with indoor activities that I love to do...(ART!)...but the cold is getting old! Thanks for your lovely comment on my site...so nice to reconnect.

  13. Beautiful pictures! We are still no where near spring either, but the sun is shining, so I must get out for a walk... we won't have any leaves for a good 3 weeks yet, but then it will happen really fast!
    Thanks for the pictures!

  14. Kate & Kim, thanks for reminding me that we are certainly not alone in this stubborn winter weather.
I feel more worried for the folks where these huge storms are blasting thru, a turbulant Spring, for sure.
    BTW, Happy Easter to you!
