  2. WOW. That bear is enormous. I have never seen a bear in the wild - we don't get bears in Australia (except for koalas, which technically aren't even bears. Haha.) I would've been in a state, but at the same time would have really enjoyed seeing the bear. I visited my sister a while back in Alaska and was initially wary of all the moose around but came to love the quiet grace of them. You really do live in a lovely spot!

  3. What a sleeping beauty! I'm glad they could bring him to safety. That sound you heard could have been a big racoon--they are night active.

  4. It makes me quite happy to know that the big bear was relocated. He'll be happier elsewhere. One of the greatest things we have in our new home is the sight and sound of all of the birds. Doesn't it somehow make you feel more alive and connected?

  6. I'm so glad the bear wasn't hurt and was brought to a safe place. He sure is huge! I love all the wildlife you have where you live - we do, too, and for me it's wonderful. "Animal Speak" is on my wishlist. Now even more than before.
