  1. i appreciate this post so much. you are telling us how you feel and experienced that day. not telling us how to "never forget". each generation has those terrible moments when they lose their innocence either a little more or completely. those moments in history that they actively participated in unwillingly or witnessed from afar but felt deeply. your 3 big ones are a lot of people's big ones. mine were those 3 plus oklahoma city. that was a big eye opener for me. that was when i was enough removed from my youth and textbooks to truly grasped man's inhumanity to man. and i lost that naive part of me forever.

  5. 9/11 had the same impact on me that Kennedy's assassination had, Susan, when I was in my first year of college. All I wanted to do was go home and be surrounded by my family!

    God have mercy on us all every time we stop to remember those devasting days...all of them.
