This seems like a very good approach and I do love the colors of the dark leather against the light. I also really love the idea that you say a little prayer of gratitude.
In my past life, Susan, I would have bought almost every bag you make. I LOVE leather and I LOVE anything that reminds me of Mother Earth through our Native American brothers and sisters. Thank you for honoring them all in this way.
gorgeous. Gorgeous. GORgeous! What a fabulous bag~great and thoughtful details and Wonderful fringe! Shaking the routine up...a good thing every now and then ;-)
I was so glad to hear (but not surprised) that you honor each animal their ultimate sacrifice, and their energy does live on through your beautiful bags! It sounds like you have some wonderful ideas a brewing, I look forward to seeing your new designs. Warm hugs to you.
Ooooo la la ... Whooooo Wheeee! Gorgeous! Love the way you did your strap. I was examining your fringe very carefully .. wish we could be closer so I could learn from the master!
Sure can see the love you immersed in this beautiful piece .. you made it come alive ♥♥♥
Susan, when you described the leather shop I could smell the leather! What a unique and beautiful scent. That piece of leather looks absolutely yummy. I love that you thank the animal before you start working. It reminds me of Native Americans who thank the animal first that they are going to kill to feed their family. It's simply beautiful. And the bag - OMG, what a beautiful piece you have created! Yes, these colors are lovely together, very sunny. I love the little details like the lace and the button.
What a beautiful piece of leather, and it goes so beautifully with the golden leather! It looks like a huge piece and I bet will make many many wonderful belt bags... and I can't wait to see them.!
If you have taken the time to come to windrockstudio and read a post and left a comment please know how very much we appreciate it ... thank you! and please know that I am working on the problem of not being able to respond to each one but haven't solved it yet.
