  1. It's a new space as of a year ago, right?
Thing that strikes me is that it could be energy that needs to be removed
in that space. Don't know. Just a feeling.
Peace to you both, Susan.....sweet buttery deep sleeping peaceful-rest-easy-ness
    to you in that place.
    love and sleepish hugs,
    Jennifer

    1. Thanks so much, your sweet words almost lulled me to sleep and you're right, a year in this place without a clearing when we moved in, something to make better. Hugs to you, as always.

  2. I love these: lavender, chamomile, sandalwood, sweet marjoram, vanilla & ylang ylang .. great for easing anxiety, calming nerves, induces restfulness, soothing stress & tension headaches.. they make a great mix in a roller bottle and put on feet. or on temples. I hope you are catching some zzz's soon. Tea w/ valerian is very good too. :)

    1. What a wonderful list of goodness, Lisa! in a roller bottle makes so much "sense" ... vanilla has always been a favorite and sandalwood is in my next order, I'll add the chamomile & sweet marjoram, too. I'm a much better tea drinker in the cooler months so hopefully those zzz's will come soon. Thanks, hun, so much.

  3. I've been having sleep issues this summer too. Humidity (I think) is the culprit. We'll see, as things have cooled off significantly now. What has helped me is a drink mixture called "Calm" that I drink before bed. I think it's the magnesium in it that helps me sleep. You can also get magnesium from some foods like wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, and almonds. If you take a supplement, be careful not to take too much as that can bad side effects. Hope you find a solution soon. I know I was feeling drugged due to lack of sleep for awhile. It's no fun!

    1. "Calm" sounds very good. I've been reading alot about magnesium lately but if you can get it from almonds I should be okay, have them every day and little pumpkin seeds. Sure is so much to know about and you're right, no fun losing sleep!

    1. I know, that moon! I've spent lots of time at the windows, probably not a good idea right before bed!

  5. I have heard and read that rosemary--a spring, under the pillow, will do wonders. Lacking a sprig, you might try making a sachet and sleep with it next to your pillow. I had a hard time sleeping last night, so I'm going to try it out tonight. I'll let you know.

  6. There's nothing like not be able to sleep! I like Jennifer's thoughts...perhaps you need to sage your home! Hope it gets better!

  7. Yep & Yep ... should have been done when we moved in but there was such a rush at that time then the thought was gone, along with the sleep!

  8. Not sleeping well is no stranger to me. I found that lavender helps a bit, but unfortunately my husband doesn't like it in the bedroom (he is a sound sleeper, of course). I know that this is a side effect of menopause, but since my mother was also a bad sleeper I am not too optimistic about my sleeping future. It can differ, though - at the moment, I sleep relatively well.

  9. any relief after the post suggestions? no sleep is hard on the body and mind and creative soul. i am suffering from it these past two weeks. the rosemary is a good suggestion...will be trying that tonight! i am looking into completely redoing our room ~ paint/bedding/removing many items ~ making it more of a destination than just a place to crash at the end of a long day. that and exercising longer each day. i think i have become too accustomed to my normal exercise time and distance. there are many good suggestions here!

  10. I´ve sleep well all my life but I am prone to delay the time to go to bed when my mood is strange, I am too tired (yes, it´s paradoxical) or anxious. As a result I don´t sleep enough quite often. I try to do my best to keep this tendency under control but as soon as I have some concern (like these last weeks) I find myself going too late to bed. The only thing I can do is trying to start to relax early in the night in order to feel like going to bed at a adequate hour this means stop doing many things that keep me awake, but to be honest, it´s not easy in particular, when I am not feeling well. Curiously enough, when I finally go to bed I sleep well...

  11. There is a very nice book : Learn to Sleep Well, by professor Chris Idzikowski,
    Duncan Baird Publishers 2000.
I believe that it will help you.
