  1. This made me cry...in a sad way and in very much a happy way. What a beautiful relationship between you two...and I just can't wait to see all the amazing art that you'll produce together! Big BIG hugs!!!

  2. Seven days a week sounds a little bit harsh. Even if someone loves the job, every now and then you need a break. I guess on the one hand it's sad that Larry quits his job at the paper, on the other it is lovely that you can work together again and do it along your own rules. My best wishes for all the new endeavors!

  3. You write so beautifully of Larry, you are lucky to have each other! I'm sorry that the world of journalism has changed so much, indeed, our local newspaper has downsized considerably the last five years. I'm glad the two of you will be back to your art and enjoying life! Look forward to seeing what comes out of that new kiln, sounds sweet! Xoxo

  5. I love the progression of this... things are always changing aren't they? But when you have someone to share that change with, that's what matters. All the best to you both! xoxo

  6. Sounds like the right decision for both of you. I love the way you two are together. And good point about thanking people and letting them know how much you appreciate what they do (and who they are).

  7. A Taurus man with a Capricorn woman! Two very hard workers loving and learning and living together as models of inspiration for us all! I love that Larry will now get back to a cycle of art in a different form, without all the deadlines imposed on him. Enjoy this new-but-old space again and live it to the hilt. I expect the summer to bring you many new admirers!

  9. Your love and support are evident in every word here. We should all have Larry on our team...the world would be a highly fun and functional place :-) You guys are fortunate for having found each other and for still deeply appreciating each other. Hope that studio is the most used space in the carriage house!

  10. what a beautiful post, and wonderful to hear a bit more about Larry. News writing is a tough job, but rewarding to get the word out to people and break it down to explain to people what's going on. Sadly the printed word is rapidly dying in our world ... replaced by all that is digital. While the author's reach is exponentially greater today, the reader expects that content to be free of charge. It makes for a hard way to keep a newspaper working. I personally still like the tactile feel of paper when I read, but that is likely a generational thing.

You guys sound so supportive of each other - a wonderful thing indeed! Sounds like Larry is ready to ease into a new (old) phase with you. Can't wait to see what you guys make in the studio!!

  11. You all are the dearest women and keep showing up here after all these years. I can't tell you how much your friendship and support means to us. I make sure that Larry sees each comment and watch his face light up and hear him say how nice that they took the time. I wish I could hug each of you and make sure you know how much I appreciate having you in my life.
