Working women

We all are ... working at our art, our lives, jobs, friendships. Working at being a good partner, parent, observer. All of these things make up who we are in the world.

And it always makes my world a better, brighter place when I meet a woman who I click with instantly, like in a flash.  Such a very special one is my gal, RobinMarie, a hard working, fun loving, photo taking world traveler and I get to hook up with her
over at her space,
Gotham Girl Chronicles.

A while back she ask me to make her a bag and only shared the size and the length of the strap that she knew worked perfectly for how she would use it. She left the rest up to me and I wanted to use this deep, rich saddle brown piece of deer hide.

This is how it turned out, with a beautiful bone bead on the front and a few dangling from the front & back of the long strap. And of course a tiny brass heart. We both love it.

And we both would love for you to come visit over at her amazingly gorgeous site.

  5. How amazing that you two found each other ... in a world as seemingly impersonal as the internet you can find people that are so connected to who you are and what you are about. People you might never meet otherwise. It was that way with Christine and me, and I thank the cosmos for crossing our paths however they came together and now I can not imagine life before her friendship

And that bag. It says a thousand words all by itself. It has the feel of an old, wise sole that has traveled the world. I'd say that fits RobinMarie quite well. It is quite simply stunning

    1. I so understand the friendship with Christine! I'm waiting for the day when she just has to come back out here for a mountain fix. Larry took that photo when he walked by my work table where my camera is always close by and said he liked that window light ... I really like those earrings I'm wearing because Christine made them for me.

I love the words you use for RobinMarie's bag, an old, wise soul. I told her it evolved with a protective, male energy about it, interesting, huh?

Thank you for visiting us both, it means so much.
