words are always magic

  1. I love this... I have my own little thank you phrase that I took up before yoga... which I only just started this year. But I have incorporated it into my own mind-calming mantra. And now, after saying all these years that I wanted to learn yoga, I can't believe it took me so long to begin. I'm loving those "stretches"... xoxo

  4. meditative moving......I love it:) I don't practice "yoga" by the rules;
    make up my own thing as I go along, using movements that I've noticed over the years
    as "yoga" or whatever else I feel like throwing into the stew. But it's the breathing and the
    flow that I think makes my heart relax and my body unwind and center.
    I'm no expert:) But it feeds me.
    Thanks for inspiring me to head back into the soup:)

    1. I can't do anything if it involves following rules, always had that problem so I got very good at doing things my own way ... this is no different, do what feels good and helps your mind, body and soul.
      Breathing & flow, you got it.

    1. Those instant connections are always the very best and I love me some no rules gals! And those wonderful cards all have special places around so I see them every day.

  6. Your practice makes me long to be doing the same. I have started and stopped yoga and meditation so many times and have always struggled to fit it in until I give up. I read a blog post about establishing a practice and am giving it a try with writing for 55 days. In thAT post, it saID you should only focus on one habit at a time. If I make it through that attempt, maybe I'll try again with the yoga and meditation. It surely does sound like it would help with my busy mind and my stiff sore body. So "thank you" for sending this message out into the world. :)

    1. I guess that makes sense to try one thing at a time but knowing you to be one of the toughest and most determined women around I'm betting that you will get an abundance of things accomplished.
      I'm forever rooting for you!

  7. What a great mantra...Be Still Thank You.
    If it calms the mind and opens the heart a bit more, it is a good one to say ~ out loud or in that quiet place within.

  9. What a beautiful post, Susan. I have never done yoga, but I know what it means when those thoughts and anxieties seem to sneak up when you just want stillness. I often experience that in the small hours when I can't sleep. I will try those "be still" words - and "thank you" is always good.
