As a result I don´t sleep enough quite often. I try to do my best to keep this tendency under control but as soon as I have some concern (like these last weeks) I find myself going too late to bed. The only thing I can do is trying to start to relax early in the night in order to feel like going to bed at a adequate hour this means stop doing many things that keep me awake, but to be honest, it´s not easy in particular, when I am not feeling well. Curiously enough, when I finally go to bed I sleep well...Zenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18115547058200216413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7714044995814177913.post-45179098015929232332014-09-14T10:41:09.213-05:002014-09-14T10:41:09.213-05:00any relief after the post suggestions? no sleep is...any relief after the post suggestions? no sleep is hard on the body and mind and creative soul. i am suffering from it these past two weeks. the rosemary is a good suggestion...will be trying that tonight! i am looking into completely redoing our room ~ paint/bedding/removing many items ~ making it more of a destination than just a place to crash at the end of a long day. that and exercising longer each day. i think i have become too accustomed to my normal exercise time and distance. there are many good suggestions here! I know that this is a side effect of menopause, but since my mother was also a bad sleeper I am not too optimistic about my sleeping future. It can differ, though - at the moment, I sleep relatively well.Carola Bartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05536486322412234854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7714044995814177913.post-80846899463418791832014-09-11T11:54:36.135-05:002014-09-11T11:54:36.135-05:00Yep & Yep ... should have been done when we mo...Yep & Yep ... should have been done when we moved in but there was such a rush at that time then the thought was gone, along with the sleep!windrock studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11361331676987978496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7714044995814177913.post-40070959703041185332014-09-11T11:07:21.878-05:002014-09-11T11:07:21.878-05:00There's nothing like not be able to sleep! Lacking a sprig, you might try making a sachet and sleep with it next to your pillow. I had a hard time sleeping last night, so I'm going to try it out tonight. Humidity (I think) is the culprit. We'll see, as things have cooled off significantly now. What has helped me is a drink mixture called "Calm" that I drink before bed. I think it's the magnesium in it that helps me sleep. You can also get magnesium from some foods like wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, and almonds. If you take a supplement, be careful not to take too much as that can bad side effects. Hope you find a solution soon. I know I was feeling drugged due to lack of sleep for awhile.
