  1. Thank God you're okay. That was a bit too close for comfort, I'm sure!!!

  2. I am relieved that you are okay. I was thinking of you over the weekend. These photos are quite frightening! And it made me think about what I would take with me if we had to evacuate in a rush - perhaps I should make a list about those things (it's also camera, some of my artwork, and old family photos and letters) with a note where they are.
Wishing you that you'll have a quiet week - this was enough adventure for some time.

  3. I'm glad they were able to get the fire under control. My sister had to leave her home last year with her two horses. Her mule got away but a neighbor found him and kept him for her. She couldn't find her cat, but she took her dog with her. She found a hotel that took them in. Her horses ended up at the fair grounds, where they let some guy take them just on his word that he was helping move them. Fortunately, my sister tracked her horses down (small area, one road, pretty hard to get away). Too much excitement for a 60-something woman on her own but she, her cat and her place survived. Fire in the mountains can be pretty scary. I'm glad you are okay and am praying for rain to come your way.

  4. I'm just glad you're OK. I have had to evacuate with a few bush fires here and it seems surreal, like a scene from a movie. Thank goodness you guys are alright xxxxx
