I promise

                    awesome images

These will be the last images of the fire that I share. My friend sent this link to us this morning and it really hit home just what our residents & firefighters were dealing with ... looking at the closeness here just took my breath away. Better days ahead, right?

  1. Better days indeed.. it is such a somber feeling .. we drove through Yellowstone Park just after the big fire in 88. It felt like a sacred burial ground. It was a strange feeling driving through all the charred forests .. and the smell. The earth has a beautiful renewal process.. my heart goes out to the families who lost so much.. hopefully they too can heal......... ♥

  3. The images are enough to rip your heart out. What devastation, Susan. You wonder how life will ever go on for these people...and yet it will. (sigh)

  4. Absolutely, better days ahead. I have lived through these sorts of fires on a different continent and what you hold in your heart is that life will continue, I am alive and my family and community is well. It's devastating but life goes on.
