These photos are beautiful. I have been to St Augustine 3 times. It is a wonderful place. 2 times in Feb. Which was great. The city is just so historical and the Flagler College is beautiful. But my daughter talked me into going for July 4th and I did. The heat was unbearable. I told her I would not be going again in July only Feb. I understand what you are saying. To hot and humid.
Hey Heather, thanks for the visit! I really hope that you caught the fireworks there, the very best we've ever seen ... over the water between the Bridge of Lions and the old fort, the main avenue closed for one huge party! and the music, awesome! enough to make you forget about the heat, which I could use some of right now! But you're right, the time to be in St. Augustine is Feb. Happy that you got to experience it with your daughter.
Now that you've mentioned it, Susan, I c a n n o t believe daughter Amy was in college for 4 years there and I never went to spend time to explore that historic city. Shame, shame on me. That was back in 1990-94. I missed so many wonderful opportunities back then while I was trying to figure out my life right after my divorce. If I did anything over again, it would be to spend time in St. Augustine!
If you have taken the time to come to windrockstudio and read a post and left a comment please know how very much we appreciate it ... thank you! and please know that I am working on the problem of not being able to respond to each one but haven't solved it yet.
I drank in these photos--they are a great inspiration to get through these icy days. Thank you for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteDawn, I'm thrilled that you stopped by! Yeah, we are expecting another round of cold & snow tomorrow.
