Oh Susan, what a beautiful, beautiful post! When I read "seven" first I remembered my daughter being that age - it was the worst year, truly awful (but probably not from her perspective). So sweet to share the birthday week with you!
Happy Birthday my dear friend! I am so grateful to your seven angels...the world is a better place because you! Enjoy every second of your birthday week!!! Xo'S
What a wonderful and thoughtful post, and so true for so many of us growing up in the same times. Happy Birthday - hope you are doing something fun to celebrate

The Happiest of Birthdays to you, Susan! Your skilled hands, kindness, and slow steady growth have brought you to the place you are right now...and it sounds like you are properly savoring that. Hope there is a lovely celebratory cocktail in the day for you :-)

Not so far behind you and it sounds like we kind of grew through the same sorts of things, only you were way smarter about the meeting the right man thing. I think I'm doing pretty good now though.
A phenomenal post. Phenomenally! (I'm reading Maya Angelou's poem now to celebrate.) Clearly you contain multitudes (Whitman will be next, but in installments! :-) Happy Birthday!
